Climb Mt. Whitney a 6 days hike from Cottonwood Pass to Crabtree Meadows using the Pacific Crest Trail and the John Muir trail and ascend Mt. Whitney up the west side from Guitar Lake. Traverse the Sierra Nevada from the west to east from the giant Sequoia Trees to th rocky slopes of Mt. Whitney, 14,505 ft. Join us along the High Sierra Trail for ten days of a cross section of the magnificent Sierra Nevada from altitudes of 5,000 ft to over 14,000 ft. plus a side trip to the Summit of Mt Whitney.
Our 10 day backpack gently climbs over the Sierra Crest through beautiful Golden Trout Wilderness, across the Kern Plateau beside Golden Trout Creek before dropping along the south fork of the Kern River heading north to Wallace Creek. Joining the John Muir Trail south to Mt Whitney and back to the trailhead.
Visit the High Sierra on our guided backpack to the top of Mt Whitney on the famous John Muir Trail plus ending your journey along the Pacific Crest Trail ending your hike over Cottonwood Pass in the Golden Trout Wilderness.
